This exciting project allows you to hear demo versions of 24 songs which are candidates for my upcoming album, recorded live off the floor and ready for your comments, criticisms and suggestions for how they might be produced on the final recording.

This project was inspired in part when I was told about Ari Hest, a New York City songwriter, who is selling a song per week for all of 2008 on his website.

Shape of a Heart

I always preface this song by saying it is in no way autobiographical. My parents are great and we get along fine. But I know that our society is rife with people who, for whatever reason, need to emotionally batter the people they are closest to. It’s a sad thing, but some people manage to stop the cycle of violence by a process of self-reflection and realization, and this song celebrates that accomplishment.
